The Travel China Guide states that at least one sixth of the globe celebrates Lunar New Year, also known as Chinese New Year. That includes all of us at Studio Classroom!
We’ve asked a few of our staff to share some reflections about this important occasion.

My family always eats dumplings on New Year’s Eve, and we make them ourselves. As a special treat, my father inserts a peanut inside some of the dumplings. Whoever eats one with a peanut gets a red envelope. It’s so much fun for the entire family!

I have so many memories of Chinese New Year! Imagine a big round table with delicious food, as well as flowers and fruit arranged in the living room for a family gathering. It’s a great time to learn how to cook traditional dishes. It’s also the best time to try out new recipes because family members are around to sample the food.
I’m looking forward to trying out some new recipes as well as sharing dishes with my family this year! |
